Megan Monroy of Orange County successfully defended her title of overall female winner at the Race on the Base Triathlon which took place in the driving wind and rain.  Her winning time was 58:23.4. Megan is an All American Honorable Mention Triathlete.  Her next race will be in Oceanside where she will compete in the Ironman 70.3 on march 27.  That will be her first race at that distance.  Her specialty is the Olympic Distance Triathlon.  She thanks her sponsors: EFX USA and Oxygen4Energy.com.
